Following Daylight Saving Time legislation in the US

Idaho Bill is Year-Round DST Proposal!

According to the “Statement of Purpose” attached to House Bill 198, this bill (I added some highlighting for emphasis):

The purpose of this legislation is to exempt Idaho from daylight savings time changes. This legislation will go into effect on July 1, 2015. Consequently, Idaho would not change, or “fall  back” in the fall and would continue to remain on the “spring forward” time in perpetuity

Nothing in the actual bill alludes to this fact.

As readers of Time Zone Report know, a Year-Round DST is not permitted by 15 USC 260a.

The bill and the Statement of Purpose can be read online at the Idaho Legislature web site here.
