Following Daylight Saving Time legislation in the US

Kansas Proposes to Drop DST

Not to be confused with similar legislation in Arkansas, the Kansas Senate Ways and Means Committee has filed SB 282 to drop DST in the state effective 2017.

The text of the bill goes about this in a round-about fashion, reading:

Commencing after 2 o’clock antemeridian on the first Sunday of November of 2016, the state of Kansas shall not observe daylight saving time

So if passed, Kansas will continue DST in 2015 and 2016, but not observe DST in 2017.
