Status Summary
Two bills have been introduced in the Florida legislature for the 2016 session:
- HB 893 sponsored by Representative Kristin Jacobs proposes to adopt Year-Round DST and would take effect July 1, 2016.
- SB 1098 sponsored by Senator Darren Soto contains the same language as HB 893 to adopt Year-Round DST.

These bills propose to observe Year-Round DST, which is not permitted by 15 USC 260a.
