Following Daylight Saving Time legislation in the US

Iowa Files Pair of Administrative Changes

This week, two bills were filed — one from the House, one from the Senate — that make small, non-substantive changes to the Iowa Daylight Saving Time law.  Small things, like changing “2:00” to “two o’clock”.  Hardly worth noticing…

Unless you read the full paragraph where the changes are being made.  These paragraphs still state that Iowa will go on DST the first Sunday of April through the last Sunday of October, which isn’t what US federal statutes say.

I’ve written to sponsors of both bills, mentioning the discrepancy not addressed.

See our Iowa state status page.
