West Virginia Bill Corrects DST Language

State Senator Craig Blair of West Virginia is the sponsor of a bill relating to DST, though its only purpose is to correct the old language that remains in the state’s statutes.

Most of us are aware that DST in the US starts the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November, but Section 5-1-25 of the Code of West Virginia still reads “last Sunday of April” and “last Sunday of October”.  Senate Bill 261 would correct that language to match the dates specified in 15 USC 260 of second Sunday in March through first Sunday in November.

This is one DST bill that should actually pass!
