Farmers Against<\/em> the Practice of DST?<\/h1>\n

In an article<\/a> published by the Nation Bureau of Economic Research by Matthew Kotchen and Laura Grant, they recognize the common misconception that farmers are for DST an this footnote (emphasis mine):<\/p>\n

A common misperception is that DST is an agricultural policy. Farmers have historically been one of the most organized groups against the practice<\/strong> of DST, as it requires them to work in morning darkness for an extra hour in order to coordinate with the timing of markets.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
