YEAR-ROUND STANDARD TIME OF THE ENTIRE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI AND\u00a0ALL OF ITS POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS; TO AUTHORIZE EACH SCHOOL\u00a0DISTRICT TO ADJUST SCHOOL START TIMES DUE TO THE YEAR-ROUND OBSERVANCE OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. <\/span><\/p>\n

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:<\/p>\n

SECTION 1. <\/b><\/span><\/span>(1) Notwithstanding how time is advanced pursuant to 15 USC Section 260(a), daylight saving time shall be the year-round standard time of the entire State of Mississippi and all of its political subdivisions<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

(2) Each school district may adjust school start times based on student safety and available daylight as a result of this section.<\/p>\n

(3) The Department of Agriculture and Commerce may study adjustments in standard agricultural practices as a result of this section.<\/p>\n

SECTION 2. <\/b><\/span><\/span>This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015. <\/span><\/p>\n
