So there is indeed a piece of legislation working its way through the Idaho House of Representatives to stop Daylight Saving Time in the state.\u00a0 Here at Time Zone Report, we’re generally in favor of any bill that removes DST.<\/p>\n
But this bill proposes to stop DST on July 1, 2015.\u00a0 What??\u00a0 In the middle of Daylight Saving Time?\u00a0 And on a Wednesday morning<\/strong>??<\/p>\n Sorry, but in my opinion, that’s just crazy!<\/p>\n I’ve written to the Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee as well as the bill’s sponsor, indicating my opinion that a January 1, 2016 effective date would be preferable. Let all DST in 2015 start and end on the normal dates, and don’t go on DST in 2016.<\/p>\n It really can be that simple.<\/p>\nShare this:<\/h3>
