According to the “Statement of Purpose” attached to House Bill 198, this bill (I added some highlighting for emphasis):<\/p>\n

The purpose of this legislation is to exempt Idaho from daylight savings time changes<\/strong>. This legislation will go into effect on July 1, 2015. Consequently, Idaho would not change, or “fall \u00a0back” in the fall<\/strong> and would continue to remain on the “spring forward” time in perpetuity<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nothing in the actual bill alludes to this fact.<\/span><\/p>\n

As readers of Time Zone Report know, a Year-Round DST is not permitted by 15 USC 260a<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
