One of Time Zone Report’s followers works for Microsoft, and has a timely note on his Microsoft blog page. M3 Sweatt (apparently they call him “M3” — no idea why!) posted his “Implications of Proposed Changes to Daylight Saving Time in the United States“.
In his article, he provides some advice for state legislators regarding the lead time necessary for technical staff to plan and react to changes in Daylight Saving Time observance and Time Zone changes — which active legislation in a variety of states are currently proposing.
I’m glad to see that someone at Microsoft is speaking up — and giving all the Windows users some hope that it won’t be too difficult to keep up with the times in the states.
